These terms cover using Bffable: the website, the web app, and the iOS and Android apps. Using any of them means you accept what follows. If you do not accept it, don't use the service.
Getting in
Bffable is invite-only. You join by redeeming an invite from someone already inside, and you keep one account for yourself. Accounts are personal: don't share your sign-in with anyone, and don't sign in as someone else. You need to be at least 13, or older where your country requires it.
Your writing stays yours
You keep every right you have in what you write and upload. You give Bffable only the permission it needs to run the service: to store your work, and to show it to the members of the circles you published it into. That permission ends for a piece when you delete it or withdraw it, apart from copies sitting in backups until they roll over.
We will not publish your writing anywhere else, sell it, show it to people outside your circles, or use it to train machine-learning models.
What is not allowed
- Anything illegal, or anything that sexualises children.
- Harassing, threatening, or targeting people, inside a circle or through invites.
- Posting someone else's private information, or their writing passed off as your own.
- Taking writing out of a circle and republishing it elsewhere without the author's consent. What is written in a circle stays in that circle.
- Attacking the service: probing for holes, scraping, automating access, or working around invites, limits, or moderation.
Moderation
Circles moderate themselves. The owner and the moderators of a circle can hide pieces and comments in it, remove members, and revoke invites. When you report something, they are who receives it.
Accounts that break the rules above can be disabled, and the writing behind them removed. Serious cases end the account.
Availability
Bffable is young and small. Features change, things break, and there is no uptime promise. If the service ever has to shut down, members get notice and time to export their writing. Export works today, from Settings, and it gives you plain markdown files you can read anywhere.
Ending it
You can delete your account from Settings whenever you like. What happens to your writing is described in the privacy page. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
No warranty, and limits
Bffable is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the people running it are not liable for lost writing, lost profits, or other indirect damages arising from using the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and members are told in the app before the change takes effect.
